What are Fat Dissolving Injections?

There is two types of fat dissolving injections treatments, Desobody and Desoface. Both types of treatments are lipolytic injections (as they are known medically) and destroy fat cells by damaging the fat cell membrane and liquifying the fat in the treatment area. They destroyed fat cells are then broken down and removed naturally through the body’s lymphatic system.

What areas can be treated? 

DesoBody
This treatment is used to targeted at areas of the body where stubbord fat may reside. These areas may include: abdomen, flanks, back, underarms, inner knees, upper and lower arms, bra fat and inner thighs.

DesoFace
This treatment is used to target areas of the face where stubbord fat may reside. These may include double chins, jowls, and neck fat.

Does this treatment suit me?

This treatment is perfect for patients with a normal body weight or who are slightly overweight with stubborn, localized fatty deposits, which prove difficult to lose when on a diet or performing physical activity. Is it Safe?

Yes, desoBody fat dissolving injections are safe when administered by a trained practitioner.
This treatment has minimal side effects with little to no interference with patients daily activities.

What are the side effects?

While the side effects are minimal they can include: initial redness, localised swelling, bruising, tenderness and sensitivity in the treated area. However all effects are normal and you should be able to continue with day to day activity and physical activity after the treatment.

How long till i see results, and how long do they last?

Typically you should start seeeing results within 2 to 3 weeks after your treatment, however this could differ from patient to patient. To achieve optimal fat reduction, a course of treatment could be required.Once administered, the fat cells will be in the process of being destroyed making the results permanent with a sensible lifestyle.

What does a course of treatment involve?

A course of fat dissolving treatment is dependant on the area the injections are applied to. We recommend a course of at least 2 – 4 DesoBody treatment sessions with 6 week intervals. This is dependant on the treatment area and the amount of fat to treat. Deso face /chin the required results can be achieved  after as little a 1 session. 

Post-treatment instructions

We recommend after having your treatment to wear a compression garment  (leggings, spanks etc) for 72 hours.

We recommend you avoid the following after having your treatment

• Avoid hot showers or baths, and sunbeds for at least 24 hours after your treatment.
• Avoid high impact exercise for at least 24 hours. 
• Avoid self tan products for at leats a week after your treatment
• Avoid active skin creams and exfoliants for at least 1 week until the skin has fully healed.
